Paul Davies

Director

Paul was admitted as a Solicitor in 1986 since which time he has handled family and employment work. Paul has represented both employers and employees in his work whether within or outside of Employment Tribunals.

Paul is currently a member of the National Law Society Council representing Solicitors’ interests throughout the County. He is a past President of Hertfordshire Local Law Society. Paul is passionate about education and has served for over 20 years as a School Governor both at Primary School and Secondary School level. He also sits on a Committee at the University of Hertfordshire. Paul also sits as a panel member for Hertfordshire County Council hearing appeals for school admissions. In his spare time he enjoys working as Stage Manager for a local amateur dramatic society.

Paul’s aim is to guide clients through what can be a complex and sometimes traumatic time, as smoothly and speedily as possible, putting the interest of the client first.

Ruksana Kaskar

Director

Ruksana is an experienced lawyer who qualified as chartered legal executive in 2002. She specialises in estate administration, inheritance tax & estate planning, Wills and Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection work. Ruksana has extensive experience in this field which requires dealing with matters sensitively. Ruksana also has some experience in preparing Sharia Compliant Wills.

Ruksana speaks fluent Urdu and Hindi and can also speak some Punjabi and Gujarati.

Ruksana is assisted by Samir Khan.

Amina Khanom

Chartered Legal Executive (FCILEX)

Amina is an experienced Lawyer and Chartered Legal Executive (FCILEX). She has detailed knowledge and technical expertise in private client matters.

Specialising in Wills, Trusts, Estate planning (including Inheritance Tax mitigation), Lasting Powers of Attorney applications, Deputyship applications, Grants of Probate/Letters of Administration for both taxable and non-taxable estates, Resealing Grants and Conveyancing. She offers a comprehensive range of services.

In addition, Amina provides a client-focused approach to suit your needs and can prepare Wills that may include complex elements like nil-rate band discretionary trusts, disabled trusts, life interest/ property trusts and Shariah Compliant Wills. She is also fluent in Bengali.

Janice Brett

Licensed Conveyancer

Janice qualified as a Licensed Conveyancer in 2002. She has experience in all aspects of residential conveyancing, including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, transfers of equity in respect of both leasehold and freehold properties. She prides herself in attention to detail, daily turnaround, care, control and support for her clients, many of whom are loyal and long standing clients.

Lovleen Kaur LL.B (Hons). (Nottingham Trent)

Solicitor

A solicitor with previous experience in general litigation and commercial litigation, obtained in both the public and private sector. Her experience includes Landlord and Tenant and possession proceedings, debt recovery, contentious probate, boundary disputes, commercial litigation, and breach of contract claims.

Elisabeth Pearson

Solicitor

Elisabeth qualified as a solicitor in 1974. She is a Consultant Solicitor and brings her long, valuable and extensive experience to the firm. She specialises in residential and commercial Conveyancing, any land related issues, Probate and Estate Administration, Powers of Attorney, Wills & Trusts. She ran her own practice before joining the Firm and previously ran a Legal Department’s commercial Leases' section. Elisabeth has obtained a reputation for her valuable and friendly service.
